About Nate:

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Nathaniel Eric Johnson has always had a passion for art.  He credits an elementary school teacher with realizing his talent for painting/drawing and guiding him on his way to becoming the artist he is today.

Nathaniel went on to study Fine Arts at the Baltimore School for the Arts, Morgan State University, and the Maryland Institute of Art.  Although he specializes in pastel portraiture, he enjoys working with various other media.  He also enjoys sculpture, and has even dabbled in comic book art.

With each piece, Nathaniel aspires to capture the essence of the moment, not necessarily through exact reproduction, but with a unique perspective which seizes the soul.
